Abstract

This study was based on computational modeling as a dynamic assessment tool lighting school environments, seeking to identify forms of artificial lighting control to increase the efficiency of these systems. Natural lighting is a major constraint in providing welfare and environmental quality, with significant impact on reducing energy use. This study aimed to calculate the internal illuminance of interest environments, from in situ measurements made by a prototype measuring device, developed with the use of a sensor LDR (light dependent resistor) and a microcontroller Arduino®. With the data collected and management measures such openings, area, occupancy and volume environments, a physical model of computer modeling aimed at determining the dynamic lighting was implemented. As a result, there was obtained lighting data and scenarios pointing some alternatives to optimizer the illumination of these environments.
