Abstract

This study sought to identify difficulties and learning motivations in chemistry presented by 95 students from 1st grade of high school, three public schools of education in the city of Aracaju/SE. how data collection instrument a questionnaire with open and closed questions before the students ' participation in thematic workshops. The workshops have been prepared and applied by 12 scholars of Institutional Scholarship Program Introduction to Teaching (PIBID/CAPES/UFS/chemistry) during the year of 2012. It was possible to notice that the application of thematic workshops in high school contributes to the learning of chemical concepts, motivated and included students in activities and assist in the development of skills and abilities of students.
