Moritzia dusenii I. M. Johnst. (Boraginaceae), herbaceous species of the Campos ecosystem, has ornamental potential. This study aimed to test the propagation of M. dusenii in four seasons, using xylopodium with different characteristics. The matrices for the experiments were collected on the campus of UFPR III in February, June, August and December. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design, in factorial 4x4, with four seasons and four kind of xylopodium:greater than 2 cm, with leaf; less than or equal to 2 cm, with leaf; greater than 2 cm, without leaf; less than or equal to 2 cm, without leaf. The variables were: percentage of xylopodium rooted and living; number and length of roots in each xylopodium; number and length of shoots in each xylopodium. Statistical analysis was made by SNK test at 95% probability. It was noted that the best time to propagate this species is at the end of the summer season, where the percentage of rooted xylopodium reaches 74.55% and the number of roots revolves around four. Vegetative propagation, using the xylopodium, proved to be efficient for these species in summer.
