Brazil has a great biological and cultural diversity that has been modified over time due to the disorderly actions of man, as these are an integral part of nature and, at the same time, a social being possessing knowledge and values acquired throughout historical process. In this sense, the socio-environmental theme is increasingly being disseminated in different spaces, as it deals with the sustainable relationships between human beings and the environment, with emphasis on the use of knowledge and customs of traditional communities. Therefore, this work aims to develop an educational booklet that contextualizes the traditional knowledge of fishermen to the scientific knowledge present in the curricular component of natural sciences proposed in the BNCC. For its accomplishment, qualitative research of a descriptive nature was used, aiming to know the aspects of artisanal fishing and the environmental perception present in the fishing community. From obtaining these data, the educational product was developed, through the dialogue between the local knowledge of the fishermen with those present so far in the scientific literature. For this, the results of the interview and digital data (photos, videos and audio recordings) were used in the narrative, which, through the IbisPaint and Canva applications, allowed the production of drawings and contextualization of the story narrated in the product. This resource aims to contribute to science teaching by bringing local knowledge from a traditional fishing community closer together with scientific knowledge from natural sciences as a strategy to facilitate the teaching-learning process.
