The perception of the monitors about the monitoring program of the higher education CEFET/RJ

Higher education is not restricted to the production of scientific knowledge for the formation of the professional who will act in society, it is also committed to human development. Thus, a new conception of meaningful education proposes an integral formation ruled on the individual and its various dimensions. In this sense, the monitoring program becomes a key strategy for meaningful learning in that it allows the construction of knowledge and exchange among peers. This research is a case study on the Monitoring Program CEFET/RJ and aims to present the perception monitors the course of Production Engineering of the program. In order to achieve this goal it applied a semi-structured questionnaire to monitors participants of the program in 2014. The main results indicate that although the program provide numerous benefits to the academic and personal student, monitoring has not yet been internalized as a culture by the student body, which requires the institution a broader disclosure policy about the program.
