Chasing the identity

The “problem of the identity” has excited many studies, what it can be verified in innumerable articles,monographs, dissertations, thesis, books and of the Groups of Research that deal with the subject. In thiswork, in we consider them to argue the “Identity” from two different, however, complementaryperspectives. In the first one, we search to pursue the forms/historical contents by means of which thecitizens come constructing to its identity(s) in the last century. On the other hand, we look for to identifyas Social Sciences have apprehended the identity as category of analysis of social processes. Until themoment, we could evidence that, historical point of view; the identity involves social processes associatesto the nation, ethics groups, race groups, social class, gender, territory and sexual orientation. In thetheoretical field, in turn, the identity notion has been used in transversal way, that is, is present in diverseways, in the diverse fields to know to it of social sciences and human beings.Downloads
