The phytosociology is of paramount importance for the understanding and characterization of tree species within a community. The state of Piaui has many formations, so there is a great need to do more phytosociological surveys in order to know them. In this sense, the objective of this study was to identify the vegetation present in an area of transition-cerrado savanna, located on the corner of the site Macambira, city of Batalha, PI.O inventory was conducted on the Site of Macambira, located in the city of Batalha-PI.Foram released 12 sampling units X20M 20m (400m2) was used as inclusion criterion individuals with circumference at breast height (CAP) >= 6 cm and height >= 1.5 m The phytosociological parameters were calculated density, frequency and dominance, Importance Value Index (IVI), Value Index Coverage Index of Diversity of Shannon-Weaver. We recorded 1801 individuals, 34 species, 34 genera 20 families. The family Fabaceae showed the greatest number of species. The Shannon diversity index was 1.682 nats.ind Weaver-1 and the species that had the highest values of importance were: B. ungulata L., Mimosa caesalpinifolia Benth., and Campomanesia xanthocarpa Berg.Downloads
