The current geographic distribution of the Neotropical otter in Northeast Brazil is still inaccurate. Although its observed occurrence, reference books still do not provide such information and only a recent study have reported the specimens collected in the region. In the Sergipe state, it is registered only one specimen of unknown sex that was collected in the northernmost portion (Cedro de São João; 10º13’40.71” S, 36º52’44.54” W). Here, we report a second specimen found in this state, in the city of Aracaju (11º00’37.3” S, 37º04’43.4” W) and thus aim to contribute to filling the gap of the species’ geographic distribution in the region.Downloads
