Mouth cancer is among the 15 most common types of cancer in the world. In Brazil, the Southeast and Northeast regions have the highest percentage of cases. The objective of the present study was to carry out the epidemiological profile of patients with mouth cancer in Aracaju-SE between 2012 and 2020. Information was collected on diagnosed cases of mouth cancer included in the ICD classification C00 to C06, available in the National Information System of Hospital Cancer Records. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and time series analysis, presented as absolute and relative frequency (%). A significant predominance was observed in men (67.13%), aged 55-64 years (26.38%), with brown skin color (27.79%) and zero educational levels (10.36%). The most common primary location was the tongue (32.60%), the most common staging level was type III (3.45%) and the most common situation after 1 year of treatment was death (15.75%). When it comes to alcohol and tobacco consumption, the most observed were active consumers (17.96% and 24.86%). The year with the highest number of cases was 2015 (n=115) and 2020 was the year with the fewest cases (n=10). The trend proved to be stationary in the period analyzed. Although the epidemiological profile of the present study is compatible with other studies in other regions and municipalities, the lack of information in certain data requires a more complex analysis.
