Discursive procedures in Itabaiana/SE written language: strategies for sequencing information
Keywords:
Sequential marker, written language, linguistic change.Abstract
In this text, we analyzed the variation in use of então, e, aí and depois, considered as variants in the domain of coding sequence of the information in functionalist and sociolinguistic approaches. Sequencing strategies codify that new information will be introduced in continuity with information already given, establishing a relationship between a cohesive statement past and a future. This sequencing forms – that então, e, aí, and depois – are often found in speech, however, in this research, we analyzed these linguistic elements in a variety of Itabaiana/SE written language. We use data from the Database GELINS (Grupo de Estudos em Linguagem, Interação e Sociedade). The quantitative results point that the sequenciality markers are utilized in specific sociolinguistic contexts.Downloads
