Abstract

The aim of this work is to evaluate the pollutants dispersion in the atmosphere, considering the three-dimensional transient advection-diffusion equation. The model, including longitudinal diffusion and non-local turbulence closure, is solved using integral transform techniques. To obtain the results and evaluate the model, were used data from the IIT Delhi diffusion experiment to low wind conditions and two different parameterizations to the eddy diffusivities. The model simulated in a good way the pollutants concentration when compared with the experimental data. The model presented better performance with the eddy diffusivities that have more turbulence information and considering the turbulence non-local closure term.
