Abstract

The aims of the article to discuss the preservation of native vegetation stocks in Simão Dias, emphasizing the need for collective action by local actors (mayor, NGOs and farmers) in the search for alternatives to the process of deforestation and paving the way for new strategies with the use of the EcologicalEconomic Zoning and Strategic Environmental Assessment as tools to combat environmental degradation.
