Morphometric and geomorphological analysis of the Turvo river basin using remote sensing and geoprocessing techniques
Keywords:
morfometric analysis, drainage basin Turvo, geomorphology, geoprocessingAbstract
This study presents some indexes of morphometric analysis of the Turvo river basin in central-south of Goiás State. The drainage basin has an area of approximately 3342 km², covering ten municipalities of Goiás. For this analysis were created drainage and geomorphological maps, taking into account that geomorphology is one of the most important aspects of this study, because it allows understand the provision of drainage and has direct application to use and territorial planning. Was used programs of geoprocessing and remote sensing, ENVI 4.3. ARCGIS 9.2, which enabled an analysis with greater accuracy on different scales. The indexes used were morphometric analysis of linear basin, relationship of bifurcation, bifurcation index, density basins, drainage density, magnitude altimetry of the basin, relief relationship, roughness index.Downloads
