Liquid-Liquid Extraction, Deacidification, Rice Bran Oil.Abstract
Due to the great economic potential, represented by the increasing demand for refined rice oil of high quality and the great rice world production, technological development becomes necessary that surpasses the difficulties and make possible the obtained processes of the bran and refining of crude rice oil. The rice bran oil has been considered as a superior oil because its chemical characteristics. It is competitive to soy, maize and cotton oils. The vegetal oil deacidification for liquid-liquid extraction has been revealed as an alternative way in the vegetal oil production with acceptable levels of free fatty acids. The reason for the use of this new process is because it uses up a smaller amount of energy, therefore it is carried through the room temperature and atmospheric pressure. In this context, the present work has as objective to study the influences of a solvent solution in the deacidification of the oil of rice bran during the liquid-liquid extraction process. The results obtained in the present work have allowed to conclude that for the relation 10:1 of solvents solution /oil during extraction liquid-liquid this solution presents a significant and fast deacidification of the rice bran oil.Downloads
