About the occurrence of two species Pleistocene at “Tytoya” Farm, Poço Redondo, Sergipe

Until the present moment, fossils of giant mammals of the Pleistocene were found only in one locality in “Poço Redondo” district. In the “Charco” farm were found: Eremotherium laurillardi, Stegomastodon waringi, Scelidodon (= Catonyx) cuvieri, Palaeolama major, Glossotherium cf. lettsomi, Glyptodon sp. and Toxodon sp. In this work was described the occurrence of two species: E. laurillardi and S. waringiin a new locality in “Poço Redondo” district, call “Tytoya” Farm, and an inference about the distribution of giant mammals during the Pleistocene in Sergipe state was made.Downloads
