Hydrogen production from alternative materials for high school students
Keywords:
Students, experiments, alternative materials.Abstract
This work aims to present an experimental activity for the production of hydrogen by reaction of aluminum, water and sodium hydroxide. This activity was developed by students of the 2nd high school year at a public school in Sergipe. Even without laboratory structure and other needs, the teacher worked experimentation with students from alternative materials. The developed experiment was considered a success, proved to be a viable and Eco-Friendly alternative to the production of this gas, but on an industrial scale should be considered as there will be the storage of this material, since it presents a major challenge for the production and distribution of hydrogen gas as an energy source.
