Professional profile of forestry engineers who graduated at Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS).

The study aims to find out the professional profile of forestry engineers who graduated from the Federal University of Sergipe. A semi-structured questionnaire has been administered, which was sent through email with Google Docs to 135 professionals graduating up to 2011, having 84 of them been properly completed. Most of the respondents (57.14%) are female and live in the State of Sergipe (67.86%). Findings show that the main activities the respondents working in the area carry out at academic level are master degree students (24.42%) and doctoral degree candidates (8.06%). As for the criteria public body (25.8%), it has been found that government sector holds the foremost position (20.97%). When it comes to private sector, companies come first (14.55%), followed by self-employed (9.68%) and social movements (1.61%). The study has concluded that most respondents are in the field, particularly at academic level.
