Technological forecasting for recognition of gestures of data obtained by using kinect

The gesture recognition is to map an ordered list of poses of an individual through data obtained from a
sensor sequence. Often these sensors are cameras that allow us to recognize the poses through image
analysis. But since the advent of Kinect in November 2010, the process of recognition of gestures became
more interesting because, in addition to analyzing images of RGB type, as provided by a conventional
camera, you can still get the depth of each pixel image, allowing you to create a model of 3D observation
of each pose. Thus, this paper presents the mapping of products already developed, analyzing the
potential and the development of technological skills translated through patent filings in relation to the
construction of recognizers systems of gestures using the Kinect as sensor data collection. In reviewing
the results Brazil was one of the countries least applied for patents, which enables the development of
products and technologies in this line, as being little explored in Brazil.
