Epistemic movements of a teacher in an inquiry activities of Sciences
Keywords:
epistemic movements, epistemic practices, inquiry activities of chemistry.Abstract
In this work we analyze and categorize the epistemic movements developed by the teacher in an inquiry activity of Chemistry, directed to a group of 8th and 9th grade students of the Colégio de Aplicação of the Federal University of Sergipe. We also seek to know how the strategies employed by the teacher fostered the development of epistemic practices by students. We used some categories proposed by Mortimer et al [14] and other categories inspired on categories proposed by Lidar, Lundquivist and Östman to categorize the actions of the teacher. The results indicate how important were the strategies used by the teacher (epistemic movements), which allowed students to advance in epistemic practices.
