This article presents a discussion about the obtained results of a research that aimed to examine the epistemic practices verified throughout inquiry activities in a Science classroom, seeking to understand the process of construction and justification of knowledge by students. We analyze an elementary school class of the Colégio de Aplicação of UFS. The data analysis involved the application of categories proposed by Jimenez-Aleixandre et al. [3] and a software previously selected, the Videograph®. The results show that the epistemic practices, potentially provided by the activity script, were developed by the students of the investigated group, being most forested by interventions made by the teacher. Moreover, it becomes apparent that laboratory activities with inquiry structure contribute to understanding of the Nature of Science.
