Consolidation of aircraft maintenance facilities by using the method of Center of Gravity

The problem of best location for a business site is a strategic and vital issue for modern companies. The correct design of a distribution structure is a matter of survival. Currently, many companies have opted for lowering its structure with the consolidation of its facilities. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the feasibility of using the method of Center of Gravity for the consolidation of facilities involved in air maintenance. Using the method and adapting it to the characteristics of an organization that has aviation as a tool, the use of the method was applicable with benefits to the company such as reducing costs for the organization.Downloads
