Quality of Work Life (QWL) in public employees of the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) Câmpus Rio Grande – Brazil

This Project aim is to evaluate the Quality of Work Life (QWL) in public employees of the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) Câmpus Rio Grande - Brazil. Present research is a comparative study of prevailing QWL between technical administrators in education and effective teachers. Data collection was performed by applying two questionnaires to those civil employees: the first was created for this study and is specific to employees’ social-demographic characters, economic, occupation and education background. The second one, made by Timossi and reviewers, is an adaptation of Walton’s questionnaire about Quality of Work Life. From a total of 128 subjects, 125 answered the questionnaires, with one refuse and two losses. Every research participant subjects have signed a Statement of Informed Consent, which guarantees the subjects anonymity. After questionnaires application, the data was plotted at Microsoft Office Excel program and then were imported to SPSS v.17 software for posterior analysis. At this moment, it’s been performed an exploratory analysis from the data and the sample characterization to achieve the research proposed objectives. It is believed that this research will bring subsidies to propose an elaboration of a Quality of Work Life Program for our Institution, because it will be sustained on workers real expectations and needs.Downloads
