The following work was aimed to know the representations concerning the ideas about ''being a teacher'' from the academic beginners in the 2nd semester of the 2012 Chemistry Bachelor´s degree from the Professor Alberto Carvalho Campus. The qualitative research usage was made by data which were collected by nineteen of these students who answered to a survey. The data were taken through a content analysis. The research outcome shows that most students affirm to relate to or get affinity with the chemistry area, although, few of them show that they have chosen this course with the intention of becoming Professors. About being a teacher, we have seen an idealization of what could be the occupation and the interest of working in this area.Downloads
