Profile, reasons for choice and satisfaction in entering the Degree in Physics from the Federal University of Sergipe

The objective of this paper is to outline the profile of students entering the Degree in Physics, Federal University of Sergipe (Campos São Cristóvão) through statistical returns both quantitative and qualitative information on these (socio-economic, cultural and school life earlier). Preliminary results show for example that the freshman students are mostly male and studied in public schools. After organizing and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data using statistical concepts such as resources had started the second phase which aimed to diagnose what the main reasons of choice and satisfaction for the Degree in Physics. The analysis of these and other results can provide parameters to guide the action plans of the Department of Physics and Dean in order to promote improvements and innovations in the training course for teachers of upper level of the Degree in Physics.Downloads
