The use of medicinal plants maintained in systems agroforestry in the context of family farming.

The objective of the study was to perform a survey of medicinal species in agroforestry systems in the povoado Zanguê Itabaiana- SE. We used the research methodology of participatory mapping and semi-structured interviews. We interviewed twenty families in the village backyards responsible for forestry. And it was found that of 75 species were distributed in 20 properties farmers, with 35% of species have occurred spontaneously in open environments and the remaining 65% are grown in gardens, "backyard" or acquired free fairs in the county. The families with the largest representation in number of species were: Myrtaceae (14), Euphorbiaceae (09), Rutaceae (08), Oxalidaceae (07) and Verbenaceae (10). Results showed that numbers of plant are used to cure various diseases of plants and leaves are most often used as tea and / or licker. Therefore, it was observed that women have a fundamental role in the cultivation and use of medicinal plants by maintaining the gardens forest where these medicinal plants are used for community use of the village to fight diseases.
