The angico (Anadanthera colubrina (Vell.) Brenan) is a tree species belonging to Fabaceae - Mimosoideae with common distribution throughout the Northeast. This study aimed to evaluate the incidence of fungi associated with angico’s seeds (A. columbrina) collected in the cities of Texeira andSão José do Bonfim, both in Paraíba in 2000 and 2001respectively. We used two samples of 80 seeds of each city. These seeds from the germination boxes in germination boxes with sand substrate, containing 20 seeds in germination boxes. With no germination the seeds were washed in running water to thenplated on Petri dishes were incubated for itself after the incubation period the seeds were observed in the stereoscopic microscope to quantify the percentage and made slides for identification. We identified the Aspergillus niger, Brachisporium sp, Chaetomium sp, Colletotrichum sp,penicillium sp, sp Phialomyces, Phoma sp, sp Phomopisis,Tricoderma sp. The fungus was the higher incidence Brachisporium sp, seeds of both cities, and the city of Teixeira had a greater diversity of fungi.
