Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of plant extracts of allamanda (Allamanda blancheti L.), Sao Caetano melon (Momordica charantia L.) essential oil of anise (Pimpinella anisum L.) on seed mycoflora and physiology robin. The experimental design for the sanity check was completely randomized with five treatments, distributed in ten replicates of twenty seeds each. The seeds were immersed in treatment for five minutes, the witness being soaked in sterile distilled water (SDW). Subsequently, the seeds were placed in Petri dishes containing sterile filter paper moistened with sterile distilled water and incubated for seven days at room temperature 25 ° C ± 2 ° C, and then evaluated for the presence of fungi. It was found in untreated seeds a high incidence of Aspergillus sp. Cladosporium sp., Fusarium sp., Penicillium sp. and Rhizopus sp.. Natural treatments tested were effective in controlling fungi associated with seeds of thrush. Extracts allamanda, Sao Caetano melon and fennel essential oil, can be considered alternatives for the replacement of chemical fungicide seed treatment of thrush and other native species.
