The garbage produced for diverse activities human beings is one of the biggest problems faced the presenttime, generating serious quarrels politics, social, economic, techniques, ambient and of health. How muchbigger the number of people who live in the city, greater will be the generation of residues. The result isthe increasing deterioration of the ambient conditions with the visible increase of the pollution levels. Theobjective of this work is to analyze the current situation of the collection, treatment and final disposal ofthe urban solid residues of the city of the Barra dos Coqueiros. The solid residues of this city are collectedby trucks and destined to the big garbage of Santo Amaro das Brotas city, without no type of treatment,which is displayed the open sky and under the action of the time and catching that they frequent there.These residues in inadequate way produce pollution in the ground, underground waters and theenvironment.Downloads
