Cultural Identity and Solidarity: a survival relation in Pradoso, Vitória da Conquista, Bahia

The present article objectives to analyze the cultural processes that characterize the sertanejos of thePradoso district, articulating the concepts of life way (gênero de vida) and lived space. For in such a way,based on the contributions of Yi-Fu Tuan, in a phenomenological perspective. the study appears of thecarried through working like a professor in the local school of the Pradoso district. In order to still showthe different forms of manifestation of the popular culture in the district, by means of the current pictureof intense modifications and complex processes that breaks up the culture, searchs to analyze the culturalforces that act in the present and that had acted in the past. The article makes a study of manifestationssocial and the cultural practics in the district, in the direction to value the cultural activities in favor of thepreservation and maintenance of its traditions and identity, ahead of the globalization process.Downloads
