Abstract

In the last decades, one of recourses utilized to that the cities enter in the “inter-cities competition” havebeen the revaluation of the historical patrimony close the salvage of the urban infra-structure, as way torevive the local economy. In this context, many cities have had its traditional towns partially changed,with aim to symbolic and functional adequacy. No rarely, the process induces to the creation of the newcentralities, with politics consequences to the users oldest. In this argument, one of questions to beanalyzed is the impact that the gentrification politics have to the construction of the new centralities epublics’ sociability. Therefore, the analyze proposed here relapse about this aspect and it has like focusthe historical town in Aracaju/SE city.
