Abstract

The present work shows the results of a quantitative research which has, as its main goal, the investigation of the profile of the students of the Electric Engineering of the Anhanguera Educacional of the Distrito Federal. The analysis also focused on the perceptions that students have about contents related to Quantum Physics.  Our results indicated that this group of students has a profile similar to the average of students from private colleges in the country, have no information about the basic concepts of quantum properties of matter, but that the knowledge acquired during the courses increase their potential for understanding.
