The tree brings many benefits in urban areas, however, the negligence of the natural element is increasing due to urbanization experienced by most Brazilian cities. Therefore, environmental education using environmental perception as the main tool is needed so that there is integration between society and the environment in which it operates. With this in mind, the aim of this paper is to present the students' perception of the various courses of the Universidade Federal de Sergipe, in relation to arborization of the Campus de São Cristovão, through a questionnaire previously applied. Of the 200 respondents, 55% are male and 45% of female students in 32 courses, 159 students believe that the arborization contributes positively to student performance. Students of Agricultural Sciences stand out because they realize the different species and the average number of plant species existing on campus. When asked the respondents about the existence of trees on campus, more than 50% of students responded that there were few trees on campus, with students from Exact Sciences major contributors of this percentage. There is therefore a need for intervention by means of environmental education projects and activities that integrate the various courses through interdisciplinary projects.Downloads
