Checking foundations of health and safety at work in joinery and metalwork

The activities developed by joiners and locksmiths have several risks of accidents. The equipment used are old, some are surpassed, and the most of professionals have no access to basic instruction to use them. This work looked for identify principles of safety and health at work in joineries and locksmith establishments placed at Itapetinga, Bahia, Brazil. This verification was made by means of interviews using a questionnaire and in loco observations. According to the obtained results, several irregularities were observed and the researched establishments don’t follow fundamental aspects of safety at work, being necessary offer information about this theme to all workers.Downloads
