The present study examined the sport and leisure infrastructure of the margin of Atalaia Beach at Aracaju/SE, between the period of May and December/2010. We identified the conditions of maintenance, access and the use of the sport and leisure equipments. The data indicate the predominance of recreational sports equipment, over the children and cultural equipment; a gradual process ofprivatization of some public facilities; the lack of projects and public policies to encourage the full population’access to the equipments; the diversified structure of leisure support, but with some disabled toilets and public transport and safety on the local. The conclusions indicate the need for the state of Sergipe and Aracaju City reassess and expand the public policies of sport and leisure in that area, for the purpose of ensuring full access of local population and not only to tourists and wealthier classes.
